SANKO Holding has over 14.000 employees in 12 different business sectors. Its primary goal is to keep investing for more production capacity and more employment in order to serve the national interests of Turkey, as it has since the beginning of the 20th century. Başak Tractor and Agricultural Machinery was acquired by SANKO.
Yokuşlu - Kalkandere Hydroelectric Plants (41 MW) began producing electricity.
Cevizlik Hydroelectric Plant (100 MW) began producing electricity.
Sanibey Dam and Hydroelectric Plant (317 MW) began producing electricity.
Sanko Machinery Production Plant began production.
SANKORES Çatalca Wind Turbine (60 MW) began producing electricity.

The capacity of the factory was increased to 30.000 spindles.

1947 - 1953
Sani Konukoğlu increased production by acquiring a 24- chamber bobbin machine, a 4- shuttle loom for checked shirt fabrics, and a finishing machine.
Having completed primary school, Zekeriye Konukoğlu’s son, Sani began working for his father in the textile business.
The number of people employed by Zekeriye Konukoğlu reached 70.
Zekeriye Konukoğlu increased the number of looms.
The foundations of the Holding were laid by the 7 hand-looms that were acquired by the founder and great-grand father Mr. Sani Konukoğlu. The textile business was later run by his son Zekeriye Konukoğlu.
